Italy, which together with Germany is among the leading countries in packaging at global level, was also well represented at Interpack 2023. The companies of the Smart Packaging Hub stood out among the key players, confirming a positive balance on all fronts.
Cama –
Interpack was an opportunity for Cama to illustrate the company’s evolution over the past six years. The company presented a fully robotised chocolate packaging line developed for a leading North American brand.
Visitors to Interpack were able to appreciate its sophisticated mechanical design and modern, high-tech digital automation infrastructure: the solution can handle as many as 15 different packaging formats, with rapid changeover from one format to another.
The engineers were also on hand to highlight what is not visible, for example: the machine’s Industry 4.0 architecture, the extremely fast product changeover managed with Rfid technology, full augmented reality (AR) functionality for training, and a line supervision and data collection system for machine learning and analysis.
Clevertech –
For Clevertech at Interpack, it was very important to delve into the demands in terms of complexity, packaging and production in the FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) world, as well as the interconnection needs between production and logistics.
There was also a strong interest in sustainable packaging, and the call for increasingly user-friendly systems that prevent production stoppages was also high on the agenda.
Clevertech presented Roboflex as a manipulator for layer preparation ideal for handling secondary packaging products without film, combined with T-Rex for layer palletisation, again for non-film containers. Another new feature is a new panel PC, as machine interface, where video tutorials provide information for system maintenance. In the new interface, where it is possible to have a visualisation of the production monitoring cameras also used to identify origins of malfunctions, up-to-date KPI information is given combined with the real consumption of the plant, as well as visibility of MTBF and MTRR.
Baumer –
Baumer brought to Interpack a revolutionary Wrap-Around with U-Shape System, a state-of-the-art machine capable of combining production flexibility in small and modular spaces, redefining industry standards.
The new machine amazed with its technological innovation and production efficiency, promising to raise performance in the packaging industry.
Interpack was also chosen by Baumer for the international presentation of Rouge, an innovative green packaging designed by Baumer itself to reduce the consumption of raw materials. Rouge is therefore a confirmation of the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability by offering eco-friendly solutions without compromising on quality.
Zacmi –
Zacmi at Interpack focused on two very important services for the customer: Global Service and Customer Care. The former is a fundamental point of reference for the customer. Thanks to the support of agents and partners, it is possible to guarantee in various parts of the world a complete 24-hour service with trained and specialised technicians able to provide the required assistance on machinery. This type of approach is becoming increasingly important and impactful, especially for large companies such as multinationals.
The other service is the new Customer Care, a portal dedicated to customers which, in addition to the various functions already active for some time, allows them to order the necessary spare parts for their machines independently and on time.
